Discover Orienteering is designed as a standalone Come and Try event. Courses and activities are standardised and repeatable to minimise workload for organisers and volunteers, and ensure a successful event.

Resources have been designed and prepared to help organisers deliver a Discover Orienteering event. They support the organiser to provide a welcoming and engaging event that models real orienteering experiences.

• Provide information about how to run a Discover Orienteering event
• Make it easier and less time-consuming for volunteers (templates, scripts, activity cards are supplied)
• Create a nationally consistent, high-quality product (branding, program and activity guidelines)

Dedicated resources are also available to organisations for their regular event series to better facilitate the journey of beginner orienteers, by suggesting options to modify event structures and providing clear and precise information for newcomers.
